What God has done in your story is meant to be told out loud.

lyrics

Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth!
Sing the glory of His name;
Make His praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome are Your works!
Through the greatness of Your power
Your enemies come cringing to You.
All the earth will worship You
And sing praises to You;
They will sing to Your name.” Selah.

Come and see the works of God;
He is awesome in His deeds toward the children of men.
He turned the sea into dry land;
They passed through the flood on foot—
There we rejoiced in Him.
He rules by His might forever;
His eyes keep watch on the nations—
Let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

Bless our God, O peoples;
Let the sound of His praise be heard,
Who keeps our soul among the living
And does not allow our feet to slip.
For You, O God, have tested us;
You have refined us as silver is refined.
You brought us into the net;
You laid affliction on our backs.
You let men ride over our heads;
We went through fire and through water,
But You brought us out into a place of abundance.

I will come into Your house with burnt offerings;
I will pay You my vows,
Which my lips uttered
And my mouth promised when I was in distress.
I will offer to You burnt sacrifices of fatlings,
With the smoke of rams;
I will offer bulls with goats. Selah.

Come and hear, all you who fear God,
And I will tell what He has done for my soul.
I cried to Him with my mouth,
And high praise was on my tongue.
If I had cherished iniquity in my heart,
The Lord would not have listened.
But truly God has listened;
He has attended to the voice of my prayer.
Blessed be God,
Who has not rejected my prayer
Or removed His steadfast love from me.

Psalm 66: God's Mighty Acts

When you need to remember — that You're still my Shepherd.

What's Going On…

There are moments when something in your heart wants the whole earth to know what God has done. Specific, witnessed, undeniable. You think back over the actual story you have lived, the doors that opened, the way you got pulled out of what should have buried you, and the only honest response is: come and see. You walked through fire and water along the way, and you know what the refining cost. The praise is real because the testimony is real.

What It Means

This one starts loud and global on purpose: "Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth!... Say to God, 'How awesome are Your works!'" The opening pulls every voice into the room before it gets personal. Then comes the invitation that gives the whole prayer its name: "Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His deeds toward the children of men." The middle names the cost. "You have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined... we went through fire and through water." That is honest. But it lands the turn fast: "But You brought us out into a place of abundance." Refining was real; deliverance was also real, and one was building toward the other. Then it gets first-person and bold: "Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what He has done for my soul." Praise here is testimony said out loud where it can be checked. he closes blunt: "Blessed be God, who has not rejected my prayer or removed His steadfast love from me." And earlier he names what makes the testimony possible at all: "Bless our God, you people... who holds our soul in life, and suffers not our feet to be moved." He has been holding the soul through every fire and every water — that is why the come-and-see story has anything to tell.

Right Here, Right Now

• Right now, say out loud one specific thing God has done in your story — and follow it with: "Come and see what God has done." • Write this down: "What testimony am I carrying that I have not told anyone yet?" • Repeat this line when memory grows quiet: "Come and see the works of God."

Selah

Stop. Breathe. Let the come-and-see story God has written in you settle deeper than the burn it cost, then tell Him exactly what you want to declare about Him — out loud if you can.

Prayer

God, You have done specific, witnessed, undeniable things in my life, and I do not want to keep them quiet. Make a joyful noise rise out of me — even where the refining is still tender. Thank You for the abundance You brought me into, and for the parts of the path that taught me what You are made of. Loosen my mouth to tell others what You have done for my soul. Bless Your name in me, because You have not removed Your steadfast love from me. You're still my Shepherd.
