The One who waters the earth can still water your weary life.
lyrics
Praise waits for You, O God, in Zion; And to You the vow will be performed. O You who hear prayer, To You all flesh will come. Iniquities prevail against me; As for our transgressions, You will purge them away. Blessed is the one You choose And cause to approach You, That he may dwell in Your courts. We will be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Even of Your holy temple. By awesome deeds in righteousness You answer us, O God of our salvation, You who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth And of those far off upon the sea. You who by Your strength set the mountains firmly in place, Being girded with power; You who still the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples— So that those who dwell in the uttermost parts Stand in awe at Your signs. You make the outgoings of the morning and evening rejoice. You visit the earth and water it; You greatly enrich it With the river of God, which is full of water. You prepare their grain, For so You have provided it. You water its ridges abundantly; You settle its furrows; You soften it with showers; You bless its sprouting growth. You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths overflow with abundance. They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness; The little hills rejoice on every side. The pastures are clothed with flocks; The valleys also are covered with grain; They shout for joy, they also sing.

Psalm 65: The Earth Is Yours
When you need to remember — that You're still my Shepherd.
What's Going On…
Some days feel like overload from every direction. Personal guilt, global chaos, and basic daily needs all stack up at once. You wonder if God still hears prayer at this scale, from the quiet burdens in your heart to the loud unrest in the world.
Then you notice how exhausted you are from trying to carry what was never yours to control. You need to be reminded that God is active in forgiveness, stability, and provision.
What It Means
This one starts with grounded worship. It says God hears prayer, deals with transgression, and satisfies His people with goodness. That means your sin and your hunger are both brought into His presence and met there.
Then it widens to power and provision: He stills roaring seas and roaring peoples, sets mountains in place, and waters the earth until valleys sing. The same God who answers inward need also tends the world with abundance. The closing image is beautiful and grounded: "You crown the year with Your goodness." Even in uncertain times, His paths still drip with provision and joy.
There is a quieter line near the start that holds the whole prayer together: "O You that hearest prayer, unto You shall all flesh come." Every soul is welcome at the same address. He confesses honestly — "iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, You shall purge them away" — and then names what makes God's house a refuge: "We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house." The middle picture is breathtaking. He is the One "who by His strength sets fast the mountains" and the same One who "visits the earth, and waters it." Strong enough to anchor mountains, gentle enough to soften furrows with showers. Provision is His paths dropping fatness.
Right Here, Right Now
• Right now, bring one burden of guilt and one practical need to God, and ask Him for both cleansing and provision.
• Write this down: "Where have I been living like everything depends on me instead of on the God who hears prayer?"
• Repeat this line when anxiety about the future rises: "You crown the year with Your goodness."
Selah
Stop. Breathe. Let the God who forgives, steadies chaos, and provides for the earth quiet your striving, then tell Him exactly what you need Him to carry — out loud if you can.
Prayer
God, You hear prayer, so I am coming honestly.
Purge what has been weighing on my conscience and pull me close again.
Steady what feels chaotic around me and within me.
Provide for what I need in this stretch, not only materially but spiritually and emotionally too.
Teach me to trust that Your goodness still crowns the year, even when I cannot see the full harvest yet.
You're still my Shepherd.
Stay Strong
The One who waters the earth can still water your weary life.
