The God who walks on wind is still ordering the day you woke up inside.
lyrics
Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, You are very great; You are clothed with honor and majesty, Who covers Himself with light as with a garment, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, Who lays the beams of His chambers in the waters, Who makes the clouds His chariot, Who walks upon the wings of the wind, Who makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flaming fire. You laid the foundations of the earth, That it should not be removed forever. You covered it with the deep as with a garment; The waters stood above the mountains. At Your rebuke they fled; At the voice of Your thunder they hastened away. They go up the mountains; They go down the valleys To the place You founded for them. You have set a boundary that they may not pass, That they turn not again to cover the earth. You send the springs into the valleys; They flow among the hills. They give drink to every beast of the field; The wild donkeys quench their thirst. By them the birds of the heavens have their home; They sing among the branches. He waters the hills from His chambers; The earth is satisfied with the fruit of Your works. He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, And plants for man to cultivate, That he may bring forth food from the earth— Wine that gladdens the heart of man, Oil to make his face shine, And bread that strengthens man’s heart. The trees of the Lord are full of sap, The cedars of Lebanon which He has planted, Where the birds make their nests; As for the stork, the fir trees are her home. The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; The rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers. He appointed the moon for seasons; The sun knows its going down. You make darkness, and it is night, In which all the beasts of the forest creep forth. The young lions roar after their prey And seek their food from God. The sun rises; they gather together And lie down in their dens. Man goes out to his work And to his labor until evening.

Psalm 104A: You Are Very Great
When you need to remember — that You're still my Shepherd.
What's Going On…
You can lose your sense of how big God is by spending all your attention on small screens. Your eye gets calibrated to whatever is in your hand, and the room shrinks. Then a moment outside — a sky, a tree, a wind — interrupts you, and you remember what you have been missing.
You are trying to remember what your life sits inside of. And it sits inside Someone bigger than you have been imagining.
What It Means
This one starts with a self-conversation that opens into awe: "Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, You are very great; You are clothed with honor and majesty, who covers Himself with light as with a garment, who stretches out the heavens like a curtain." That is poetry on a cosmic scale — God wrapped in light, the sky as curtain. Then the imagery widens: "Who lays the beams of His chambers in the waters, who makes the clouds His chariot, who walks upon the wings of the wind." Wind, water, cloud — all His infrastructure.
The middle paints a careful, ordered creation: foundations that cannot be removed, waters set within boundaries that will not be crossed, springs running to valleys, birds singing among branches, hills watered from His chambers. "He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may bring forth food from the earth — wine that gladdens the heart of man, oil to make his face shine, and bread that strengthens man's heart."
Then the rhythm of day and night: "He appointed the moon for seasons; the sun knows its going down. You make darkness, and it is night, in which all the beasts of the forest creep forth... the sun rises; they gather together and lie down in their dens. Man goes out to his work and to his labor until evening." Every detail of the world has a place in His order. You do too.
Right Here, Right Now
• Right now, step outside or to a window for two full minutes and look up — say one line of awe out loud about what He has made.
• Write this down: "Where has my screen-sized God been quietly replacing the very-great God I believe in?"
• Repeat this line when the room feels small: "O Lord my God, You are very great."
Selah
Stop. Breathe. Let God wrapped in light and walking on wind widen what you have been imagining. Then tell Him exactly what you want to say about His greatness — out loud if you can.
Prayer
God, You are very great — and I have been living like You were the size of my screen.
Forgive me for shrinking my view of You until awe could not survive in it.
You stretch the heavens like a curtain and walk on the wings of the wind, and I want to remember that today.
Order my small life inside Your enormous one, the way You ordered seasons, springs, sun, and rain.
Let bread strengthen me, oil make my face shine, and joy gladden my heart — because You make those things for people You love.
You're still my Shepherd.
Stay Strong
The God who walks on wind is still ordering the day you woke up inside.
