Monday hits different when you've been living two lives.
Sunday you, all in. Monday you, walking through the office doors and quietly leaving that part of yourself in the parking lot. Different voice, different values, different person almost. And somewhere in the middle of the split, you're worn out from managing two versions of you nobody ever asked you to build.
Here's the truth under all of it: your work was never supposed to be the part of your life God stays out of. Everything that exists holds together in Him, your Tuesday spreadsheet and your Sunday morning both. Faith and work were never two separate rooms. They were always one house.
So instead of a rulebook for "how to bring God to work," here are four words for closing the gap.
Whole
A split life will wear you down faster than a hard one ever could.
Half of you shows up praying, half of you shows up scrapping for approval, and the tug between them is exhausting in a way people can't always name. There's an old, honest prayer for exactly this: teach me Your way, so I can trust You with all of it. Give me one undivided heart. Not a heart split between the sacred hour and the secular nine-to-five. One heart. One person, wherever you're standing.
That's not a nicer version of you for church. That's just you, finally not divided against yourself.
Rooted
You don't manufacture the good stuff at work. You draw it from somewhere.
Picture a vine and its branches: cut off, a branch can't produce anything no matter how hard it tries. Stay attached, and the fruit shows up almost as a byproduct. Patience with the coworker who tests you. Honesty when a shortcut would be easier. Steadiness on the day everything's on fire. That's not a personality trait you were born with. That's what grows out of staying rooted in Him instead of running on your own reserve tank.
Trying harder burns you out. Staying rooted is what actually bears fruit.
Willing
You don't need a bigger platform to matter. You need to actually show up where you already are.
It's tempting to treat this job, this desk, this season as the waiting room before your "real" assignment starts. But faith that's only willing to show up once conditions improve isn't faith, it's a stall tactic. Be present now. Do the small, unglamorous, nobody's-watching work with your whole heart, and let today be enough of an assignment.
You're not waiting for the mission to start. You're standing in the middle of it right now.
Wanted
Here's the one that changes how Monday actually feels: you don't walk in trying to earn a seat. You already have one.
You are fully known, already accepted, already sent, before you produce a single result. That's not a performance review waiting to happen. That's just where you start the day. Which means you can stop working from fear and start working from rest, because the approval was never up for grabs in the first place.
You're not there to prove you belong. You already do.
Stay strong
Your faith was never meant to clock out when you clock in.
Whole, not split. Rooted, not running dry. Willing, not waiting for a better assignment. Wanted, not auditioning for a seat you already have.
Same person, every room you walk into. That's the whole point.
Stay strong.
