The pain was real, and so is the God who answered.
lyrics
You have answered me! I will declare Your name to my brothers In the midst of the assembly I will praise You You who fear the Lord—praise Him! All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him Stand in awe of Him, all you people of Israel For He has not despised the suffering of the afflicted He has not hidden His face from him But when he cried out, He heard Chorus My praise belongs to You in the great congregation I will fulfill my vows before all who fear You The humble will eat and be satisfied All who seek the Lord will praise Him— Your heart shall live forever! All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord All the families of the nations will bow before You For the kingdom belongs to the Lord He rules over all the nations [Bridge / Climax] The rich of the earth will feast and worship All who go down to the dust will bow before Him None can keep his own soul alive [Final Vision ] Posterity will serve Him Future generations will be told of the Lord They will come and proclaim His righteousness To a people yet unborn— That He has done this! That He has done this!

Psalm 22B: He Heard and Answered
When you need to remember — that You're still my Shepherd.
What's Going On…
After a brutal season, relief can feel surreal. You are grateful, but still tender. You remember the nights you felt abandoned, and now you are standing in a different place — not because you were stronger than the pain, but because God met you in it.
There is a moment when private survival turns into public gratitude. You cannot keep quiet about mercy that carried you when you thought you were done.
What It Means
The tone flips from anguish to declaration: "You have answered me! I will declare Your name… I will praise You." He is not glossing over what happened. This is testimony after real suffering. He makes it clear that God did not despise the afflicted and did not hide His face when the cry came: "For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; nor has He hidden His face from him; but when he cried to Him, He heard."
Then the vision gets wider. The humble are satisfied. Seekers praise. "All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations shall worship before You." Future generations are told what God did — that they "will come and declare His righteousness to a people who will be born, that He has done this." The final line lands like a banner: "He has done this!" Deliverance does not stop at one person; it keeps echoing — past your suffering, past your timeline, past your name.
This is what restored breath sounds like — gratitude that points beyond yourself. Not a victory lap. A widening circle. The story of what He did becoming oxygen for someone you may never meet.
Right Here, Right Now
• Right now, text or share with one person a specific way God answered you, even if it feels vulnerable.
• Write this down: "What part of my testimony have I been withholding out of fear or pride?"
• Repeat this line when doubt returns: "He has not hidden His face… when I cried, He heard."
Selah
Stop. Breathe. Let these words settle where gratitude has been rising, then tell Him out loud what He has done for you.
Prayer
God, thank You for hearing me when I felt forgotten.
Thank You for not turning away from my suffering.
Teach me to honor You in public, not just in private relief.
Use my story to strengthen someone else who is still in the dark.
Let future courage grow from what You have done in me, because You are faithful.
You're still my Shepherd.
Stay Strong
The pain was real, and so is the God who answered.
