lyrics
The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness According to the cleanness of my hands He recompensed me For I have kept the ways of the Lord I have not turned away from my God All His judgments were before me I did not put away His statutes from me I was blameless before Him I kept myself from my iniquity Therefore the Lord has recompensed me according to my righteousness According to the cleanness of my hands in His sight With the merciful You show Yourself merciful With the blameless man You show Yourself blameless With the pure You show Yourself pure With the crooked You show Yourself shrewd For You save the humble people But bring down haughty looks You light my lamp The Lord my God illumines my darkness By You I have run through a troop By my God I have leaped over a wall As for God, His way is perfect The word of the Lord is proven He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him For who is God besides the Lord? And who is a rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength And makes my way perfect He makes my feet like the feet of a deer And sets me on my high places He teaches my hands to war So that a bow of bronze is broken by my arms You have given me the shield of Your salvation Your right hand has upheld me Your gentleness has made me great You enlarged my steps under me So my feet did not slip I pursued my enemies and overtook them I did not turn back till they were consumed I wounded them so they could not rise They fell under my feet For You girded me with strength for battle You made those who rose up against me bow down under me You gave me the necks of my enemies That I might destroy those who hate me They cried out, but there was none to save Even to the Lord, but He did not answer them Then I beat them as fine as dust before the wind I cast them out like dirt in the streets You have delivered me from the strivings of the people You have made me the head of the nations A people I did not know shall serve me As soon as they hear of me they obey me Foreigners submit themselves to me Foreigners fade away And are afraid from their hideouts The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let the God of my salvation be exalted! It is God who avenges me And subdues the peoples under me He delivers me from my enemies Yes, You lift me up above those who rise against me You have rescued me from the violent man Therefore I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the nations I will sing praises to Your name Great deliverance He gives to His king And shows mercy to His anointed To David and to his seed forevermore

Psalm 18B: Strength for the Battle
When you need to remember — that You're still my Shepherd.
What's Going On…
Some seasons are not about getting rescued out of trouble; they are about learning how to stand steady in the middle of it. You are trying to stay clean, stay humble, and stay faithful while pressure keeps coming from every side. You want to move forward, but you also do not want your heart to get twisted by pride, bitterness, or survival mode.
You know God has carried you before. Now you need strength to keep walking with integrity in what is still in front of you.
What It Means
This section starts with accountability and alignment: clean hands, a guarded heart, a refusal to drift. Then it shows how God meets people according to truth — merciful with the merciful, pure with the pure, opposed to the crooked. He saves the humble, lights the lamp, and strengthens the one who keeps trusting.
The momentum builds: "His way is perfect… His word is proven… He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him." Strength here is not ego. It is God steadying your steps so you do not slip, training your hands, and upholding you with His right hand.
Then it ends in praise and public gratitude: "The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock!" Victory is not self-credit; it is testimony. He delivered, He upheld, and He still deserves the praise. The middle of this section even gives the picture: "It is God who arms me with strength… He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places." Surefooted, not because the ground got easier, but because He retrained the steps. Strength here is never self-made — it always comes from God's hand on yours. And speaking gratitude out loud is part of that strength itself; it keeps you honest about who actually carried you through.
Right Here, Right Now
• Right now, ask God for strength in one specific area where you need endurance, not escape.
• Write this down: "Where do I need to stay humble while still walking boldly?"
• Repeat this line when pressure rises: "His way is perfect, and His word is proven."
Selah
Stop. Breathe. Let these words settle where you feel stretched thin, then tell Him exactly where you need clean hands and strong feet today — out loud if you can.
Prayer
God, thank You for carrying me this far and not letting me slip.
Keep my heart clean while I walk through pressure that has not ended yet.
Strengthen me for what is in front of me, and guard me from pride when things go well.
Teach me to fight the right battles the right way, with humility and trust.
Let my life turn into gratitude, not self-credit, because You are the One who upholds me.
You're still my Shepherd.
Stay Strong
The One who strengthens your steps can keep you steady all the way through.
